I still remember trying to get my wireless to work with FreeBSD 4.7 on my Dell Inspiron 5100.  Man, that was a joke.

1.  VI into the file

2.  use  :%s/old/new/g

Old is what is being replaced and new is the new content.

Followed this article, which fixed the issue, immediately.  Nicely done!
